How do I integrate Jigsaw Planet into the classroom?
For Chinese learners, it is very important to recognise the Chinese character structure, shape, strokes position and proportion in order to build up a solid foundation. Jigsaw Planet has created a great opportunity for Chinese learners to develop their character spatial arrangement.
In class, Children look at the original image (Chinese character), then they can work from their memory to rearrange the pieces and complete the visual. Once they have complete it, they flexed their memory and strengthen their connections.
I share all the characters with students via url, or embedded into school virtual learning environment for easy access.
